ROLE: Tom is responsible for the direction of the business and focuses on ensuring that clients are given the best advise and global strategy for their commercial finance needs. He specialises in Complex Property Finance particularly large scale bridging finance and development finance and has his own personal interests in a variety of property investments and developments. Tom also heads up the Ice3 Structured Finance.

BACKGROUND: Tom moved straight into the property sector from university working as an agent in London and then Yorkshire before working for a large Spanish developer for 3 years. He set up Ice Cubed Real Estate Ltd in 2007 to help clients in all areas of property advising on finance, marketing, planning and acquisitions. In June 2017 he founded Ice Cubed Commercial Finance to focus on the Property Finance needs of his clients.
OUTSIDE OF WORK: Tom loves sport, particularly Rugby (albeit his playing days are behind him), and he heads up the companies sponsorship programs with York City Knights and York RUFC. Tom enjoys Horse Racing and has a share in a horse trained by John Quinn, and food & drink, and enjoys traveling to find new places to partake in this passion. His favourite destination is New York City.
ROLE: Chris specialises in term or mortgage debt solutions for clients who have buy-to-let portfolios, commercial mortgages or clients seeking development / bridging finance on to longer term facilities. This coupled with his knowledge of the working capital sector ensures clients can meet their ongoing funding requirements to maximise business performance for trading businesses and landlords alike. Chris also heads up the #WeAreYork Business Finance brand.
EDUCATION: Dip Financial Markets & Risk (DipFSM), Cert corporate Banking Conduct of Business (CertCBCB), BSC Sport Psychology - University of Central Lancashire.
BACKGROUND: Chris joined the Royal Bank of Scotland graduate program from university in 2007, being selected as one of 39 from a pool of 7,500 applicants during his intake. From this he experienced several sectors of the banking industry but found his niche within the business and commercial banking sector of the Bank. Having been promoted several times through the Bank, Chris then joined a network brokerage in 2016 to widen his knowledge of the general commercial lending arena before establishing his own brokerage in March 2020 which he operates alongside his role with Ice3.
OUTSIDE OF WORK: Chris loves all things football and is an FA qualified coach running 2 age groups at his local club (a total of 6 teams!) whilst supporting Leeds United and Leeds Rhinos in Rugby League. Outside of sport Chris enjoys spending his days traveling with his family and adding to his growing whisky collection.
ROLE: Claire's role is to ensure that clients receive an efficient and productive service from us liaising between clients and funders to ensure all requirements are met. Claire also focuses on the business finance and asset finance markets working specifically with smaller local businesses. Claire's strong background in events also means she has taken on the event management and networking functions within the business.
EDUCATION: BA(Hons) Business Studies - Sheffield Hallam.
BACKGROUND: Following University Claire moved into the Event Management field working for some of Yorks best events spaces including York Museums Trust and York Racecourse. She then moved to Hotel du Vin where she managed the Sales and Events function for the York and Harrogate Hotels before joining Ice Cubed Property Finance in early 2018. Claire took a break from the business in 2020 when Fionnán Frank entered the world but she is now back as a vital cog to the business.
OUTSIDE OF WORK: Claire's first love is Country Music having spent a number of years performing in Ireland and releasing a record into the Irish market. This love is closely followedby her love of her Shih Tzu Daisy and her obsession with Dolly Parton.
ROLE: Max has joined the Ice3 office primarily in an administrative role initially, with the hope of moving into the property finance department in the future after learning the industry from within.
EDUCATION: Max has just completed his degree in Business Management with Sport, Coaching, and Physical Education at Oxford Brookes University. Prior to this, Max enjoyed his education in the heart of Yorkshire at Ampleforth College.
BACKGROUND: Throughout his education in Yorkshire and Oxford, Max gained experience in retail/sales and hospitality working for reputable luxury brands and in some of the best pubs and hotels Yorkshire has to offer. He also used to play rugby for York RUFC and is looking forward to becoming involved with the sponsorship of the club.
OUTSIDE OF WORK: Max is also a strong follower of sport in general. He enjoys watching Formula 1, rugby tennis and football. As a country boy born and bred, he loves being outside and taking his dog for long walks. In contrast, he spends some time down in London and enjoys trying new restaurants and pubs around the city.
